VOYAGE DALLAS- Francesca Vuillemin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Francesca Vuillemin.

Hi Francesca, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story starts 20 years ago when I was working as an international model and I would see the faces of brilliant creatives light up as I shared astrological insights on why the energy or certain personality types matched and clashed. Being a highly sensitive person, astrology was instrumental in helping me understand how to manage my own challenges.

Knowing the planetary positions gives you a general sense of the energetic forecast so that you can be more intentional in what you choose to prioritize at any given time. I believe that there is a time for everything, so understanding how and when to direct your energy is essential to living a fulfilling life. Fast forward to 2022, the work that I do is at the intersection of wellness and sustainability where I work with individuals, fashion/lifestyle brands, start-ups to CEOs looking to live and work in a more connected way.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
While the road has been far from smooth, I am deeply grateful for those challenges that built grit and perseverance. The mindset I have around“obstacles” is to look at those situations as an opportunity to address a blindspot and improve. I believe that astrology is a tool that can be used support us in looking for those blindspots. The example I would like to share is when I launched my sustainable fashion venture Cat On A Mushroom in 2008, comprising of sustainably made organic cotton tote bags and boxer shorts. I had looked at the planets and they were bleak to say the least, but my younger and stubborn self decided to force the deadline. While it was a business loss and I felt incredible defeated,  it was a great example of the importance of  taking these influences seriously. These days I plan my astrology calendar 3 months ahead so that I can keep my clients informed for when they should be planning their shoots and events!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Living in New York allows me to work closely with inspiring and talented people in various industries. An average work day for me starts by writing up readings to prepare for either in-person or remote readings- depending on the time zone. Many of my clients are traveling which sometimes means waking up very early to accommodate their schedule.  The other part of my day is being a model and social impact influencer for fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. During NYFW I had the privilege of being on the runway in the Patricia Fields show wearing Jody Morlock. That week was particularly hectic with astrology readings, fittings and  shooting another campaign for sustainable shoe brand VEERAH. Since the start of October my focus is now on preparing my clients for the upcoming 6 months of Mars in retrograde! The astrology advice I have for everyone is to expect a welcomed slowing down of our pace so that we can fine tune our strategy and feel confident in the direction when Spring arrives.

What does success mean to you?
Being able to be happy for the success of others.
